Academies are SD22 Specialty programs that provide personalized learning opportunities in unique settings. Most academies are offered through the District online school vLearn and are in partnership with community organizations and service providers. Students participating in these programs receive specialized instruction and unique learning opportunities while taking courses online.
Academy Family Information/Q&A Meetings: We encourage anyone interested in applying for an academy to attend the upcoming District Academy Information Evening scheduled for February 19, 2025 to learn more and answer any questions you may have. vLearn Academies Expression of Interest: Each academy associated with vLearn will have an expression of interest sign-up form required to be completed before registration can occur. After reviewing the academy information, you can complete the Expression of Interest Form for the 2026/27 school year (2026.27 EOI opens January 14, 2026 @ 8 pm).

- Graduating students considering NCAA pathways: Freshman eligibility is determined by the NCAA Eligibility Center. A new student-athlete must submit their grade 9-12 official transcripts to the NCAA and meet specific core course requirements. More information specific to British Columbia can be found here: NCAA Eligibility Center. It is important to understand that NCAA Eligibility and University admission are separate processes. Each university will have its own admissions process and it’s important to check the websites of the University/Colleges you are considering.
