PROGRAM DESCRIPTION
Information

AIAO provides rich learning opportunities that are rooted in place and nature based educational practices. We collaborate with various business and mentors throughout the Okanagan to engage our students in a variety of experiential learning opportunities. AIAO is a place for students to find their interests, become curious about learning, and develop inquiry skills. Students are able to learn core courses (numeracy, literacy, etc.) through cross-curricular classes that are co-created with our learners. AIAO uses the BC curriculum, and our program is deeply rooted in the core competencies. We want students to leave our program being prepared to take on whatever life brings their way. All AIAO students have the opportunity to graduate from our program with a BC Dogwood Diploma.
