The Board of Education, School District No. 22 (Vernon), is responsible for establishing policies, ensuring implementation, and monitoring the results within the school district.
The initiation and review of new and existing policies is an ongoing process that reflects the operational needs of the district and is maintained through extensive consultation with stakeholder groups such as parents, staff, students, and community members.

Feedback will be collected, reviewed and considered. Please check out the ICompass portal for the Regular Board meeting schedule. The deadline to submit policy feedback for the policies listed below is on or before 4:00 p.m., one week prior to the next regularly scheduled meeting.
At the September 17, 2025 Board of Education meeting the following motion was passed:
Policy No. 455 - Response to Unexpected Health Emergencies
“That Board Policy No. 455, Response to Unexpected Health Emergencies, be distributed for comments and further input in accordance with Board Policy 140, as amended.”
Feedback Extension:
The Board of Education passed the following motion on October 15, 2025 that would allow for an extension to receive public feedback on Policy 455 until the November regular board meeting submission deadline.
“That the matter regarding Board Policy No. 455, Response to Unexpected Health Emergencies be postponed to the November 19, 2025 Board of Education meeting.”
