ACADEMY DESCRIPTION
Information

The Beyond Sport Volleyball Academy (BSVA) is in partnership with the SD22 online school vLearn.  It teaches excellence in volleyball, with the overriding purpose to create complete student-athletes, preparing them for life beyond sport.

BSVA is devoted to the Volleyball Canada Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD) model. LTAD is a framework for optimal training, competition, and recovery schedule for each stage of athletic development. By engaging in the model and its practices we are more likely to produce athletes who reach their full athletic potential.

In addition to the technical and tactical volleyball programming, our academy includes modules on clear purpose, inspiring priorities, positive habits, self-confidence, nutrition, coaching, leadership, physical training, recovery, and optimizing our mental approach to both the game and life.

Students are immersed with like-minded peers, who are not only driven, but supportive and kind. We place a high priority on our culture as with any successful sports team. Our students participate in multiple group projects, from designing practice plans, leading training sessions, to our Serve It Up Projects to impact our local community.

All on-court staff are certified coaches with Volleyball Canada, and Safe-Sport trained. All off-court instruction – including fitness, strengthening, nutrition, and so on, will be provided by certified professionals.
